Logan Circle

From the Swann Memorial Fountain in the center to the historic houses that radiate outward, Logan Circle is the perfect balance of green space and urban atmosphere. This neighborhood was once used for public executions and burials but now boasts a multitude of museums, gardens, and attractions as well as easy access to public transportation and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Some of the more popular cultural sites found in Logan Circle include:

  • Academy of Natural Sciences
  • The Franklin Institute
  • Sister Cities Park
  • Free Library of Philadelphia
  • Rodin Museum
  • Philadelphia Museum of Art

There are also tons of events held on the Parkway each year.  Many enjoy the annual Made in America concert series as well as the Fourth of July celebration and Thanksgiving Day Parade. You’ll always have plenty to do in this lively neighborhood.

Fitler Square

Do you want to be in the heart of the city but still enjoy the quiet feel of a small neighborhood? Fitler Square, in the southwest corner of the city, may be more your speed. It is home to a diverse community that appreciates the natural spaces of Fitler Square, Taney Park along the Schuylkill River as well as fabulous dining and shopping. You might also come to love the weekly farmers market in Fitler Square and its close proximity to the highway and walkability. It can also be a bit on the expensive side, with its Victorian-era row houses, modern townhomes and proximity to universities; U-Penn and Drexel University are just to the west of this neighborhood. Parking can also be tough here, but you may not even need a car because it is so walkable.

Rittenhouse, next to Fitler Square, is the gold standard of urban living in Philly, and you can expect to pay a pretty penny for real estate in this posh neighborhood. It also offers everything most people want from city life, including:

  • Great restaurants
  • Boutique shopping
  • Short commutes
  • Walkability
  • Plenty of nightlife

Rittenhouse is also where you can find plenty of festivals, such as the Fine Arts Show at Rittenhouse Square, throughout the year, making for a high energy urban atmosphere where Philadelphia comes to life.
